As part of a collaborative effort with Creative Writing graduates and undergraduate students in the Graphic Design program at the University of Houston, students were tasked with creating a map based in Houston that looks at the city from a different perspective.
Our group looked at the superstitious effect of the number 13 in an area of Houston known around the world for it’s academic resources, state-of-the-art research facilities and the greatest minds in the field of medicine, the Medical Center.
We mapped 13 buildings in the Medical Center, each one of those buildings avoids the number 13 in its elevators.
